parking.

We ask that all guests park on 39th street

which runs along the East side of Wild Carrot. 39th street is not metered as well as nonresidential. We also have 6 private spaces on our catty corner lot.

One of our favorite things about the space is that

we are in a neighborhood in the city!  With that in mind, we try to avoid parking on Shaw Blvd where many of our neighbors rely on street parking.

Clients have the option to add on valet and/or shuttle for their event. Valet and/or shuttle is required for guest counts over 200.

security.

WC includes a security guard through GCI Security for all private events from 1/2 hour before the event start time to 1/2 hour after the event end time.  Our security guard is on the exterior of the

building greeting guests, walking guests and vendors to their cars and keeping an overall presence + pulse on the exterior throughout the night.

HISTORY

Shaw Theatre opened in 1915 as a one screen neighborhood movie theatre. Seating about 1100 people, the theatre ran through the early 60's with a dentist office above and candy shop in the front. Following the movie theatre, a corner store occupied the building for years until 2015

VISION

Our goal from the start was a street level building with history in a city neighborhood. We fell in love with the Shaw neighborhood and this odd corner store begging for a new life!  We went under a complete gut/rehab with our general contractor, UIC to create an event venue for both private, public and neighborhood events.
